Tic-Tac-Toe tutorial: Anything goes week

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando tutorial.
Today I am going to share my new TIC-TAK-TOE GAME made with Tando Creative chipboards and Earth Safe Finishes products only.
It's easy to make (with some waiting time) project and can be even done with kids and for kids.
Step by step instructions:
1. Paint a piece of 4*4'' cardstock with Cherry Jubilee Chalk it Up paint and let it dry.
Paint 5 small chipboard ornaments with the same paint.
Paint 5 small chipboard snowmen with English  Tea Cake Chalk it Up paint and paint the hats with Huckleberry paint as well.

2.Glue the red piece over black magnetic sheet. Cover the red paint with a thick layer of ESF Crackle medium. Add small beads over the painted ornaments and snowmen and then cover them with  ESF Gel Glaze and let it dry.

Anything goes with Dee

Hi folks! Well Christmas is fast approaching and I am going
to have to get all my shopping done tomorrow EEEk!
as I have everyone coming to me for
Christmas.
Well the theme this week is bling it up, so this is my
post which uses my favourite Tando
media boards.
Also I used the Tando holly shapes which I trimmed up.
I covered the media board with canvas paper which I coloured
with various inks. I sealed it with Deco art soft
touch matt varnish. Around the edges
i used crackle paste.
I used fine white glitter over the Gessoed Tando Holly pieces.
I then coloured these with mica powders.
White embossing powder was sprinkled across the board &
heat set.
Voila I think I was wearing more glitter then the board had on it.
Well that's it for today folks. I hope you
are all looking forward to
Christmas.
Cheers Dee X

Winter Holidays

Hi all, Liz here today with a project for our theme Winter Holidays,
I just couldn't resist this lovely Mini Christmas scenelit to alter,

It comes in layers which you glue together, so gives a fabulous 3D effect when finished,
I started with the back and worked to the front, the frame would be covered up so i just did the moon, which I stippled with some texture paste then when dry coloured with some of the Deco Art paynes grey, Titan buff and then finally with some Raw/umber antiquing cream wiping some off with a wet wipe,
The house roofs have Modeling paste through  a mini distressed sequin mask, then when dry I painted them with Deco Art white Gesso and lastly some glamour dust glitter, these sparkle lovely in real life, the bottom of the houses have been painted with Titan buff and Burnt umber,

The fur trees in the middle were painted with blue/green light acylics and Titan buff then I added some liquid applique over the top for a snow effect,

The wooden fence and Gate have been given some crackle paint then when dry painted with Burnt umber over the top, this looks like aged wood in real life, again i added liquid applique here and there for effect, the bells are painted with Silver fluid acylics,
For the Snow effect on the base I used some of the Modeling paste, making it thicker in some places using my knife to create ridges here and there too, again I added a hint of glitter,
I then painted the tree on the frame with crackle paste and when dry painted it with white gesso, then when dry some  Raw umber antiquing cream swiped over with a wet wipe, the frame is also first colured with white Gesso then I added a little of the silver fluid acrylic onto the wet wipe and swiped this over the top, this just gives a hint of colour,

I finished off the display with some die cut leaves and flowers from The Ribbon Girl,

We have had a lot rain but no snow so at least this makes me feel like a Christmas morning,
This is my last post before Christmas, so I wish you all a lovely and Happy Holiday season,
Hugs Liz xx

Winter Holidays with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Holidays post.
This time I am going to share a lovely frame made with Tando rectangle frame, stamped sentiment  and some simple stickers.
The chalkboard trend is still very popular, so I made my own chalkboard using Tando packaging as the base of this board and pigmented black ink as the paint for the packaging.
I  waited for the ink to be dry and then stamped the sentiment with white ink and white embossing powder.
The sides of this frame were embellished with Paper House puffy and die cut stickers.
So easy to make and so lovely!
You sure can do the very similar project for any Holiday. How about Valentine?  Paint the frame into pink/red; add Love sentiment  in the middle and add some hearts and flowers over the frame.
And so on and so on...

Winter Holidays with Lisa

Hi folks, Lisa here and welcome to my creation for Tando. Our theme this week is Winter Holidays.

This week I chose a plain (and lets face it, pretty boring)box to jazz up and alter.

Here is my creation...

I started with covering the box with a light teal blue DecoArt paint which I watered down a lot to create a washy feel. Then gave the lid of the box and the four sides a good coat with DecoArt Weathered Wood. Then I applied a coat of DecoArt Crackle Paint. By using both DecoArt products produces mega cracks, huge, HUGE cracks!!!

I then made a muddy browny grey colour wash, then went over it with Stazon Ganache to create more tones. I finished the box off by swiping over white Gesso with a dry tissue.

On to the decoration...

To decorate the box I used lots of Tando goodies.
I added DecoArt Sand Texture Paste to the snowflakes, wonky trees and on the wing and breast of the robins.

I then painted all the pieces and rubbed some metallic gold to the texture paste pieces. To finish, I went over all the bits with the Stazon Ganache ink.

I hope you like my Winter Holidays Box. If you would like to see it in more detail please visit my blog. I would love to hear your thoughts so leave a comment if you can.

Here are all the fantastic Tando goodies I used which are all available on the website.

Bling It Up with Dee

Hi folks! I hope your Christmas preparations are truly
underway as for myself I am last minute.com.
I used a media board which i covered in Deco art modelling paste
which I applied through the  Mask - Grid Moroccan
This was then
painted with a mix of tinting base and prussian blue hue.
I stamped the merry christmas into Fimo clay and touched
the textured area's up with pewter Treasure gold.
I painted a circle from the Tando circle grab bag with a
deep matt blue acrylic.
To which I applied Deco art crackle paint.
I then used the small father Christmas stamp to stamp onto the
circle.
I applied vintage photo distress found the edges.
The small snowflakes were covered in tinting base then dipped into
white fine glitter.
A gem was placed into the centre of each snowflake and
my signature drips were added. I hope you all
enjoyed my piece today.
Happy Christmas to you all.
Cheers Dee X
